De La Salle Camogie Club Notes


Club Training and Fixtures

U-8 and 10 squads on Wednesday 15th April at 6-30pm in Gracedieu.

U-16, 18 and Junior Adult squads on Thursday 16 April at 6-30pm in Gracedieu.

Newcomers are always more than welcome to join in any of our sessions.

Club registration forms to be returned to mentors as soon as possible please.

All u-8, u-10 and u-12 blitzes and U-14A championship club fixtures can be viewed on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

U-14A Round 1 Championship fixture on Tuesday 14 April – De La Salle V Lismore at 6-30pm in Gracedieu.

Round 2 – Dungarvan V De La Salle on Tuesday 21 April at 6-30pm in Dungarvan.

We host a u-12 blitz on Saturday 18 April in Gracedieu at 12-30pm.

 

County Players

Well done to our club girls Katie Ryan (Captain), Emma Fitzgerald and Katie O’Keeffe who were members of the Waterford Under 16 C County Squad who played Clare in the Under 16 C Munster Final played at the Ragg Camogie Grounds on Saturday 11 April. Waterford lost out on a score line of 7-11 to 0-1 to a very strong Clare outfit.

Two more of our club girls – Beth Carton and Brianna O’Regan were members of the senior County squad who played against Clare in the Munster Senior Championship preliminary round also on Saturday 11 April at The Ragg. Waterford were very competitive throughout, loosing out by three points on a score line of Waterford of 1-10 to 0-16.

 

Basketball

Best wishes to our girls Beth Carton, Courtney Healy, Brianna O’Regan, Rachel Butler and Becky Roche who head off to Limoges in France to the World Student Schools Basketball Games, represent Ireland and their school – Presentation Secondary School on Friday 17 April. Enjoy the experience girls.
