De La Salle Camogie Club Notes


Club Training & Fixtures:

U-8 & 10 matches on Weds 8th July meeting @ 6.30pm in Gracedieu or 6.45pm in Ferrybank.
We will host the next round of U-8 & U-10 blitzes on Sat 11th July starting @ 11am in Gracedieu.

U-12 training on Weds 8th July @ 6.30pm in Gracedieu.

U-16 A championship Round 2 home game v Butlerstown-Tramore on Tues 7th July in Gracedieu throw in 7pm.

U-16,18 & Junior squads will train on Thurs 9th July in Gracedieu @ 7pm. Our Junior game v Portlaw to be re-scheduled.

Results:
Our U-12 girls had a good win away to Lismore on last Tuesday 6-3 to 2-2. The following day they finished off their League campaign in Gracedieu with a good win against Dungarvan. 5 wins from 5 games in the League section so the girls have qualified for the A final versus Gailltir. Date, time & venue tbc. Well done girls, keep up the good work.

Our 1st round U-18 A championship game away v Lismore on Tues 30th June did not go ahead.

County:
Well done to the Waterford U-16 squad who played Antrim in their 1st group game in the U-16 B All Ireland campaign in Naomh Peregrine GAA club Blanchardstown Co. Dublin on Sunday 5th July. DLS club girls on this panel were Taylor Healy, Colette Hogan, Chloe Dempsey, Katie Ryan, Niamh Murphy (0-6) & Aisling Madigan (1-0). Waterford were victorious 2-11 to 3-7. Next up Cork away on Sunday 12th July @ 1pm in Cork.

Well done to our club girls Beth Carton & Brianna O Regan who members of the Waterford senior camogie squad who played Antrim in their 1st group game of the All Ireland Intermediate Championship in Walsh Park on Sat 4th July. Beth made her Adult championship debut scoring 1-3 in the game in which Waterford won on a score line of 6-9 to 1-3.
