De La Salle Camogie Club Notes


Club Training & Fixtures

U-8 & 10 training on Weds 1st July @ 6.30pm in Gracedieu.

U-12 League Round 5 away game on Tues 30th June v Lismore throw in 6.30pm. Round 4 home game v Dungarvan on Weds 1st Aug throw in 6.30pm in Gracedieu.

U-18A championship Round 1 away game v Lismore on Tues 30th June throw in 7.30pm.
Results
Our U-12 girls had a good win at home to Portlaw in Round 3 on Thurs 25th June played in Gracedieu. 3 wins from 3 games played so far, 2 more games to be played.

These girls will get to play during the half time go games in the Waterford v Antrim Intermediate Camogie championship game in Walsh Park on Sat 4th July. Enjoy the experience girls. De La Salle club girls Beth Carton and Brianna O’Regan are members of this Adult County Squad. Best of luck to all.

A new chapter in our camogie club’s short history was created last Friday 26th June in Gracedieu when we lined out in our first ever Adult Camogie match v Clonea in the Junior championship. Our girls played well throughout in an entertaining game and ran out winners on a final scoreline of De La Salle 5-15 Clonea 2-6.

We would like to welcome Majella McCarthy to our club. Majella made a fine debut scoring a sublime goal in the game.

U-14 National Feile Ulster 2015 Report

Fri 19th June Group Game 1 v Na Fianna (Meath) lost 2-2 to 1-2 in Slaughtneil.

Fri 19th June Group Game 2 v Slaughtneil (Derry) won 7-3 to 6-2 to in Slaughtneil.

Sat 20th June Group Game 3 v Bredagh (Down) lost 5-6 to 1-4 In Cherryvale.

Sat 20th June Div 2 Shield 1/4 Final v Cappamore (Limerick) won 7-8 to 5-4 aet in Slaughtneil.
Sun 21st June Semi Final v Bridini Oga (Antrim) lost 4-2 to 3-4 in Owenbeg.

Three fantastic days of camogie hosted by a fantastic club Bredagh Co. Down in South Belfast. Memories that will last for ever. A big thank you to the parents and supporters who travelled but especially to the 24 girls on our Feile squad who were a credit to themselves & there families. Roll on Feile 2016 hosted by Waterford & South Tipperary.

Best of luck to the Waterford U-16 squad who play Antrim in the U-16B All Ireland next Sunday 5th July. Best wishes to our club girls Taylor, Colette, Chloe, Katie, Niamh & Aisling who are on this squad.
