De La Salle Camogie Club notes

Club Training:

U-8, 10 squads on Weds 30th Sept @ 6.30pm in Gracedieu.

U-12, 14 squads on Sat 3rd Oct @ 1pm in Gracedieu.

Junior, U-18 & U-16 squads on Thurs 1st Oct @ 6.30pm in Gracedieu.

Fixtures:

U-18A County Final DLS v Cappoquin Sat 3rd Oct time-venue tbc.

U-8 & U-10 blitz on Sat 10th Oct.

Results:

Our U-13 girls finished off their league campaign with a home game v St Annes on last Tuesday. Result: De La Salle 7-1 St Annes 7-3. Well done girls.

Hard luck to our U-16 girls who played their County A Final on last Thursday in Walsh Park. This was a cracker of a game played at a hectic pace with plenty of skill and commitment on show over the hour of camogie by both sides. De La Salle led 3-5 to 1-6 at half time. Our opponents Gailltir came out strongly in the 2nd half and ran out winners 4-9 (21) to 3-18 (27). Well done to the girls for the commitment shown throughout the year to training and games. It was great to see Caoimhe back on the playing field again after last years injury lay off.

Our Junior girls played Tallow away in Round 5 of the championship last Saturday. Result: De La Salle 6-19 Tallow 3-4. We have now qualified as group leaders for the county final.
