De La Salle march on in Munster Club Championship

Congratulations and well done to our Intermediate squad who hosted Cappamore of Limerick in the Munster Club Junior Championship semi final on Sun 9th Oct in glorious weather conditions on a fine surface in Gracedieu. This was a fine sporting contest by 2 evenly match teams and play swung from end to end throughout the entire game. We led by 1 point 1-8 to 2-4 at half time. We gathered our thoughts at the interval & the girls pushed on in the 2nd half running out victorious at the final whistle on a scoreline of DLS 3-15 (24) Cappamore 2-8 (14). Well done to our girls, management team, everybody who came out to support the girls and to all that sent us best wishes before & after the game. Many thanks to our clubs groundsmen for having the facilitys in superb condition, to all stewards who helped out on the day and to the ladies and family members who helped with catering for both teams and supporters which was highly complimented by the large travelling support.

The Munster Club final is down to be played on Sat 22nd Oct against the Clare Champions Scariff/Ogonnelloe venue & time tbc.

Fixtures:
Our U-18 girls have qualified for the County Final on Sat 29th Oct, our opponents will be the winners of the semi-final between Dungarvan & Gailltir, venue tbc.
Training:
Club training for the younger age groups continues indoors for the months of October & November 2016:

Venue: Butler Hall, Saint Johns Park, Waterford.

U-5/6 & U-7/8 age groups 6-7pm on Weds 12th Oct.

U-9/10 age groups 7-8pm on Weds 12th Oct.

U-12, 13, 14 on Sat 15th Oct 12noon in Gracedieu.

U-16, 18 & adult on Weds 12th Oct venue & time tbc.
