As the Lismore girls were ahead in score difference ended up in the final and had to await the result of the Cappoquin V Gall Tir semi-final to determine who were Lismores opponents in the final, this game ende in a comprehensive win for the Gall Tir girls.

Throw in for the County final was set for a 3.30pm start and it was Gall Tir got on the score board with a point in the second minute, but Lismores Nicola Morrissey opened the scoring for them with a point a minute later, but the  Gall Tir girls were in fine form and were four points to one ahead in the first quarter before Caithriona Mc Glone scored her sides second on the fifteenth minute. Gall Tir crashed a fine goal to the back of the Lismore net before Lismore started to come into the game and scored three points to one in the next ten minutes, but it was Gall Tir had the last say of the half ending the score line of the half Lismore 0-5 Gall Tir 1-6.

It was Lismore who came out with all guns blazing in the second half and held Gall Tir to score one point to Lismores 1-1 (goal courtesy of Caithriona McGlone) for the first ten minutes of the half, but the Gall Tir girls kept puttting pressure on and pulled away to win the match on the final score of Gall Tir 2-11 Lismore 1-6.

It was the end of the champions reign for the Lismore girls.

A sincere thanks to the panel of girls for all the entertainment that they provided over the year and team manager Brendan Landers and selector Sinead Bennett along with their backroom staff.
